Card Couture

Yesterday, I was thinking about my own line of birthday cards.  Today, I'm thinking about business cards.  2 sets - one for me and my business needs.  Another for my daughter and her babysitting business.  She is recently Red Cross certified and turning 11 - the girl needs a card!  :)  

Do you think business cards are a thing of the past?  We don't really keep them anymore?  But what about when you're meeting someone at a networking function?  Let's just say your phone doesn't have the capability of transferring the appropriate information to the other person's phone?  Or vice versa.  Are you less professional without a business card?  Less credible?  What do you think?

Now, for my 11 year old babysitter - I think the business card is a must.  She doesn't have a cell phone (and don't ask for one yet, either!).  Having a card to hand to potential customers is perfect for her.  She can also advertise that she can help with pet sitting, dog walking, organizing chores, etc.
